Graphite: Ellie Drawing

It's been a very long time since I sat down and did any sort of traditional fine art. I decided to pick up a pencil and finish this drawing of Ellie from The Last of Us. I started this sketch/drawing way back in 2014 right after I beat The Last of Us remastered on Ps4. (Over 8 years ago before I even worked at Naughty Dog. This was the game that made me want to work where I do today) I figured it was only fitting since I just helped Remake the game, AND the HBO Show comes out in less than two weeks!! I cannot wait!

Man did it feel strange at first to pick up a pencil, it took some time but eventually, it felt like an extension of my hand again. While I did feel extremely rusty, I think my eyes are better than they were when I was younger. Shape and Form felt pretty good and I think the nuanced training in my day-to-day work really helped with shading. Anywho, Ellie fan art in Graphite. Hope you enjoy some shots of it.

My favorite tools: 4B Pencil, Blending stump, and of course the Kneaded Eraser!
