The Pumpkin King

A little late, but Happy Halloween!

I started this fun little Halloween scene based off a concept I found online a 5-6 years ago, unfortunately I don't know who to credit for it but it's attached to my reference sheet at the bottom! The Pumpkin king, hope you enjoy it.

I didn't exactly have a clear goal when I started this one but I knew I wanted to make a very challenging tree sculpt. I started out in SpeedTree to block out the roots/trunk and brought it into Zbrush to sculpt. I also wanted to learn Rizom UV and this gave me a very, very good excuse too.. Can't say I wanna Uv something like this again. I learned a lot and would probably approach this one a little different a second time around but I had a ton of fun throwing paint at the Canvas.

Everything was made by me with the exception of (some of the foliage I reused from a previous project):

the amazing Skybox from: https://www.fab.com/listings/6fc6c448-9853-4753-9c91-b73618042555

And of course Easy fog from: https://www.fab.com/listings/0a1c0c21-ff23-4fb7-9dc5-7beb6e16ce64

Super fun sculpts, really enjoy making these. Although the melted beads are a little heavy handed

Wanted to add a new gravel, I also made a displacment mesh out of this for some mesh blending in detail. Opted not to displace the terrain

Reimported back into speedtree after sculpt/texturing. The tileable below was used for the smaller branches/roots.
